A few weeks ago I was browsing Etsy, and stumbled upon my new favorite cross stitch designer, andwabisabi. She had a Brontosaurus among her collection, so I bought it for Darcy.

I started this piece last night around 8pm and worked on it for about an hour, then finished it around 10am this morning. So it went pretty quick.
I also bought some cute dinosaur fabric from another Etsy seller, and I'm planning on using that as the main fabric in a quilt for Darcy.

She really goes bonkers for this fabric. When I pulled it out today for the cross stitch photo shoot, she squealed and said, "My dino covers! I just wub it so much!" Then she ran over and started counting all the dinos.
We're going to be moving to a bigger house (same city) next month, and I'm focusing on these colors and other dino goodies for her room.
What things are the kids in your life currently in love with?
xoxo

OMG!
that is absolutely adorable!
my boys are both dino-freaks! it started out with diego and now sebastian is obsessed! i think the cutest thing is watching sebastian trying to pronounce all the names :)
recently they just started moving into sharks and other {scary} creatures of the deep sea.
i think it's so cute when little girls end up liking things that in our society are more "gender-ized" towards boys.
can't wait to see more of the dinosaurs stuff you'll make for darcy. oh, and your new house!
that's adorable! my neice used to be so obsessed with dinos! Right now my oldest is in LOVE with unicorns
I love that you cross stitch!
Well, since I've done Mason's room in a type of pirate theme, any time he sees pirate stuff, he points and says OOoooohhh, got it. I know he's only 1, and his interests might change, which is fine by me, but I think he likes the pirate stuff for now.
I actually got this super cute pirate Dino book for him a few weeks ago, because lets face it, most little boys end up dino-holics, and this book was called Captain Flinn and the Pirate Dinosaurs- Missing Treasure. I just thought it was cute how they intergrade the two things boys love. The illustrations are AWESOME, and its a really fun read.
